Georgetown MDA Lock Up: November 17th, 2010

I’m going behind bars for a great cause. I’m committed to making a difference in the lives of King County families affected by neuromuscular diseases.  91 cents of every dollar I raise actually stays local to provide medical services and fund research in Seattle.  Can you help me reach my goal of $2000 by funding one of the services provided for the 800 MDA clients in King County? Tax deductible donations can be made here until the end of the year.

United Way Day of Caring: September 24th, 2010

Join thousands of your friends, neighbors and colleagues on Friday, September 24 for an all-county day of volunteering. Your group might build affordable housing, add a fresh coat of paint to a daycare center or clear a path on a hiking trail. Day of Caring is your chance to make a lasting impact in our community. Be a part of this fun day of community service by volunteering to improve local schools, nonprofits and parks in King County.

Harvest Festival: Bellevue Demonstration Garden September 18th, 2010

Come join me at the Harvest Festival where I will be assisting “Mr. Tomato” with a tasting table of tomato varieties. As King County Master Gardeners, we strive to educate the public on all things horticulture related. My personal interest is in helping members of our community to grow their own food and make sustainable choices in their lawns and gardens. Oh, and I love tomatoes! I’m experimenting with 14 different varieties this year.
